During menopausal stage and when women begin to become seniors, hot flashes often occur. Here are some suggestions on how to prepare for hot flashes especially at bedtime:

1. Keep the room cool and keep a nearby fan when you sleep.
2. Wear cotton pajamas.
3. Put cotton or t-shirt sheets on the bed that will help absorb sweat.
4. Have an extra clean pair of pajamas and sheets near the bed.
5. Take a warm bath or shower before heading to bed.
