Many people take pain relievers. Not just seniors who are experiencing and attack of their arthritis or headaches. But then, before you take in pain relievers, make sure that you have an idea about the possible side effects that they may contain.

Here are some of the potential side effects of pain relievers.

1. Liver damage. This occurs on people who take large amounts of acetaminophen which is the active ingredient of Tylenol.

2. Gastrointestinal problems like ulcer or upset stomach. It can occur on people who take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen.

3. Kidney damage which is also cause by NSAIDs.

4. In some rare instances, people can also be allergic to pain medications.
