Flu and influenza may seem to be just a simple disease. For a senior this could mean a lot of muscle pain and bed rest. Seniors have less stronger immune system as they used to have 20 years ago and once they get acquainted with someone who has a viral disease such as flu, most likely they will get infected as well.
Seniors must not forget to be on the lookout especially during cold weather. Putting on proper clothing and protection will shield them from the possibilities of getting under the weather. Also, try to avoid people who have symptoms of flu. Drink plenty of liquids and keep a healthy diet to make the body stronger. Regular vitamin intake will also be very helpful especially the ones containing vitamin C which will make the immune system steady.
