It’s been a while since my grandparents visited us and I guess the most recent one was during Thanksgiving Day. As much as we want to bond with them everyday, we just have to wait for another year to be with them; they can no longer stand traveling long distance for hours. However, it’s not Thanksgiving Day yet but they are going to stay in our home until that season….so thanks to that….

On the other hand, we have to take several considerations before we get too excited in spending time with them. Of course they can’t do hiking or ice skating like we do, so we have to be careful on our planned activity. Fortunately, this isn’t going to be an issue for us, thanks to my mother’s zillion ideas.

  1. Picnic…. Yes, we plan to have a nice picnic in the park. It sounds too cheesy for someone like me, but I don’t mind being that way as long as I get to bond with my beloved grandparents. There will be well-prepared meals and nicely-packed picnic items for us to enjoy.

  2. Taking a walk. If you are just going to perceive it as it is, this idea will seem to be very dull. But walking is a healthy way to ease some troubles in the heart…. and a good way to bond with someone. It’s a healthy habit in every way as it promotes your physical, emotional, and social improvement.

  3. Doing something creative. Stretching our creative muscles while bonding with my grandparents is something that I enjoy the most. We once did a hand-made photo display using jars and ribbons. Of course it’s enjoyable with our combined creativity shared with little talks and laughters.
