How to Take Care of Seniors

I am old and weary, yet I am quite pampered and loved by my family. They know how to take care of me, showing every bit of concern and care that they have. Despite my weakness, I still do what I can to show my appreciation, because an old woman like me knows the feeling of overwhelming gratitude for being treated this way.
This is how exactly a senior feels when being treated the right. I am not writing this to talk about my life; the first part is just a simple introduction of an expression of appreciation from such a treatment. I am having this blog to share my ideas about the right treatment to seniors, especially that it comes from me, an old lady.

Establish touch therapy. It doesn’t have to be a real touch therapy that includes body massage. A simple pat or a warm hug is enough for a senior to feel that you care. Touching can imply a gesture of concern, an effective way to express their worth. Because it is on this touch that they feel that they are being loved.

Watch for their proper routine. There are seniors who easily forget things, and sometimes, they no longer have much capability to move well. That is why it is important for you, younger, stronger, and sharper individuals to make sure that they are following a healthy routine. Look out for the right food for them and make sure that they get exercise.

Do it with love. All of these would be useless without having that love for them. It should be the root and the reason for treating them right
