Funny thing about seniors is that they have common behavior. Could it be because of their aging hormones? Though we, ordinary people can’t really comprehend the scientific explanation behind it, we still find interest in their similarities…. and even find entertainment in them….. And one of those noticeable and entertaining quality we see is their what seemingly non-stop comments about the society and their smart comparison of their generation with ours…. and their repetitive recollection back when they were young.
So what exactly are they thinking….
“Back then….” Listen to what your grandmother says and you will find a full-description of how shoulder pads became quite productive in their everyday living and how they partied while dancing that Jitterburg (not the Wham song). Believe me, it’s going to be a well-detailed narration of their culture back then….
“Teenagers these days….” Grannies and grandpas can’t help but comment on teenagers these days. They are going to observe how they handle those zits in their faces and how they become mushy over some sweet note, without realizing that they also behaved the same way…. only that teenagers these days wear differently and have new medium for flirtation and romance.
“When I was young….” Similar to “back then” sentiments, only this time, it’ll become personal. This time, you’ll hear a full version of their stories of heartbreak and romance, and their struggles from teenage pressure.
While we find some quality entertainment in their behavior, bear in mind that in the distant future, it will be our turn to have some fair share of hilarious recollections of our memories. And in that time, it’ll be our grand children’s turn to laugh at us.
