Recalling My Earlier Years

There are things that are not meant to last. And in my case, most of my favorites have all gone…. except in the pictures and video clips that linger there. And unfortunately for me, the only thing I can do is to reminisce those moments…. when everything is set back in 40’s and 50’s.
As I recall my earlier years, I remember how I dress up for our late-night gatherings and parties with my peers. The fashion back then included gloves and fashionable hats, smoky look, and curls. The more I dressed glamorously, the more I became attractive. Glamor and elegance were such a big deal among us women, especially when it comes to parties and social gatherings. Though there were simpler girls back then, everyone still did everything to make them as classy that they could be. Unlike today, as far as my observation goes, women dwell on looking into more casual, with their natural being accentuated with simpler cosmetics and hip clothes.
Parties always involved cocktails and live bands playing both mellow and groovy tunes. Discussions among people whom we were not close with usually involved current social status and even political situations. On the other hand, my peers and I commonly talked about guys and other people in our class.
And entertainment. Our time wouldn’t be this fun and exciting without entertainment. The gossip, the glamor, the controversies, the movies, the shows, the starts — all of which keep the camera shooting, the film rolling, and the people watching.
