With the current sagging economy of the United States, the economic stimulus refunds will soon be sent to taxpayers in a dire effort to boost the economy. With this gift of course, there will be thieves who would do anything to get a crack at what people will get.

Seniors in particular are the targets. The editor of the website SeniorJournal got an email from someone posing to be an IRS member and are getting information like credit card numbers. If a senior does not know about this scam then their money will definitely go to waste.

If you received such a fraudulent email or if you suspect one, send an email to phishing@irs.gov to report the incident. If you want to make contact with IRS, type the website directly into the address bar of your favorite web browser instead of clicking a link from the email itself.

Be watchful and vigilant because criminals today would not care even if you are a senior. As long as you have the money, then you can be their next target.
