As most doctors and expert dieticians would say, cholesterol or lipids increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes simply because they tend to develop plaques and build up a lot of unwanted materials that clog the blood vessels towards the heart called the arteries. These “clogs” build up inside the arteries will definitely decrease blood flow to vital organs especially the heart. Once the build up becomes dangerous enough, a heart attack or stroke i a sure follow up.

To avoid this, proper exercise and good diet is needed. Consult a good dietician and try to lose some weight and become fit in order to reduce the risk of heart attacks or strokes.
