Things I Want to Do (Again)

Enjoying the beauty of our backyard, I gulp my orange juice and continue to read my book. Though my eye sight becomes poorer every year, I dig my face in the book to make sure that I don’t misread any word. Since I enter the stage of aging, I start losing the vigor that served as my fuel for outdoor activities. It’s not that I am complaining with this simpler lifestyle that I have adapted, but there are things that I really miss doing…. and I’d give anything in the world just to have that thing again.
Be young again. I guess any seniors would agree. That vibrant feeling of being cheerful and energetic – when everything seems possible with that stamina and youthful spirit. In addition to that, I don’t think every senior would mind having their wrinkles and weak bones disappear as he/she becomes what he/she used to be in the early adulthood days.
Do something spontaneous. A senior like me who used to be quite spontaneous would want to have something spontaneous again. Roller-blading in the park, swimming in the beach, playing basketball and volleyball, skating – how I yearn to do these things again….
Eat and party hard. Everyone must have an idea that seniors cannot eat anything they want. There are many things to consider like its contents that may affect our body’s condition. And partying? That is even harder than walking for several minutes. But if only I had the chance to eat and party hard…..
